meet HONEY

Hey Boo! How You Doing?! Welcome to STYLES BY HONEY! I'm glad you decided to check me out today.. so since you did, I might as well use this space to introduce myself! My Name is HONEY (well duh.. lol) and I am a Bahamian American Entrepreneur born and raised in sunny South Florida. I've always had a passion for the Beauty & Style industries since I was a little girl. However, "doing hair" wasn't something people usually accepted as a "career" or "business" for years so I put off my passion and decided to keep it as just a hobby.. Until 2011. That is when I decided to brand my work and came up with the tag #StylesByHoney. Later on in 2012, I left my full time job, I decided the regular 9 to 5 thing wasn't for me. In 2013, I became a full time Cosmetology student with hopes to open my own salon by 2015. While in beauty school, I rebranded my work & invented the name "BeSweeetMIA" with intentions of that becoming the name of my future salon. Those dreams came to a stand still, however, and I had to take a break from hair and focus on paying the bills! Time went on and I slowly began to forget my passion.. but not for long! In late 2016, I finally figured it was past time for me to live the life I dreamed of. Since I wasn't exactly ready to start back doing hair full time, I decided to make a new YouTube account and started posting video tutorials for hair and makeup. By 2017, not only was I able to revert back to the Original "Styles By Honey" but I came back even harder than ever!! I continued to post videos to YouTube and began to offer my cosmetology services to family & friends, whether it be to practice or just to model for my brand. Once I got that ball rolling, sis.. I DIDNT STOP! Fast forward to NOW, I offer online + live training, select hair + braid services, loc extensions, custom braided/loc wigs, luxury mink lashes, natural skin + hair care products, & more! I want to make people happy by helping them embrace their beauty & enhance their health. I also want to encourage young entrepeneurs, whether they be in the beauty & style industries or not, to NEVER GIVE UP even if you have every reason to.. I could have. But I didn't.. and now here you are, reading about it ;)
